My Approach to Your Wedding Photography

If you invite me to your wedding or civil partnership I will focus on capturing the fun, the emotion, the little moments. I’ll work to document the wedding day so that you can cherish the memories for years to come.

I’ve been told that I’m very unobtrusive to the day’s proceedings, that I wasn’t standing in everyone’s way or shouting orders at people. Kind of a compliment! Being in the background, blending with guests, enables me to capture the real expressions of people enjoying themselves that would be missed by spending valuable time organising group shots or hunting for errant relatives. It helps to produce the type of gorgeous photos that tell the story of the day.

Obviously everyone has to have a few group shots, but the fewer the better. I prefer a documentary style of wedding photography over spending too much time on the cheesy ‘traditional’ shots (register signing, cake cutting, bride lifting etc).

Whatever you have planned for your wedding day, I’ll endeavour to create a flexible, stress-free and enjoyable experience that fits with your plans.

What you’ll get with me…
  • A meeting before the day to discuss your wedding photography (this could be for a chat over a drink, a venue visit or a pre-wedding shoot)
  • I’ll be available to talk about your coverage, any time
  • I’ll be present on the day for as long as you like
  • A mixture of natural documentary & modern portraiture photography of your wedding day
  • Professional photo editing & re-touching

…and what you won’t
  • A collection of cheesy, traditional or dated photos
  • Requests for you to adopt uncomfortable poses
  • Somebody barking instructions at your guests
  • Restrictions on the way you use your own image files (printing, Facebook etc)

Why not check out feedback from happy couples here.

About Me
Wedding Photography - Ben

I love that I get to call wedding photography my job, probably something to do with the time spent in my old desk-job, in dark server rooms, ah, the memories. I get a kick from finding & capturing special little looks & laughs during the day, it makes what I do rewarding.

Away from manning the shutter button I live in deepest Surrey, and have myself many diversions (with varying degrees of success/obsession), some examples?: Snowboarding (throwing snowballs has never once got old, true story); Football; My lovely, purple car; Music (maybe some Prince. Please); Tending to the backlog of computer games I need to play; Perfecting my Pad Thai skills in the kitchen; Aping about on climbing walls; Taking the odd photo. You get the idea….
